After the incredible turnout last year, the organisers of the Chiltern Cycling Festival have arranged to host not one, but two days of cycling celebrations in 2015. With July 12th and August 31st as the confirmed dates the Chiltern Hills look set to further establish themselves as one of the best riding areas in the south next summer.

Routes and events are scheduled in and around two magnificent country houses and the Chiltern Cycling team are keen to offer great days out for all types of cyclist to build on the excitement and buzz that was generated last year.

"Following last year's superb day for both riders and spectators we know that people want an annual cycling focal point", says organiser, Robin Askey. "This year we will have two stunning locations on different dates that will enable us to offer even more exciting events, routes and attractions, but all still linked up by the simple idea of sharing our passion for cycling against beautiful backdrops with friends and family.

The Chiltern Cycling Festival - 12 July 2015

Last year entries had to close early due to high demand, so to avoid disappointment the organisers have moved a mile up the road to Penn House, a hidden Chiltern gem nestled between Amersham and Beaconsfield. This country house setting can accommodate larger numbers and will host the start and finish areas for the sportives, along with the velo village, vintage fashion and gourmet markets, not to mention the crowd pleasing "Hill Climb" which this year will have its own unique "Penn House" twist.

The three routes for the sportives will again feature the Amersham Classic 30mile route along with the Amersham Brill Amersham 100 mile and 100km options taking in many of the tough climbs that featured in the recent Tour of Britain stage. Described by world tour rider. Alex Dowsett - on his way to taking the yellow jersey - as "the toughest day he'd ever spent on a bike" so be warned!

With all those energy sapping opportunities the organisers have been sure to lay on 3 fantastic feed zones and mechanical support across all routes together with an eclectic mix of stall holders, food and local produce at the finish on the lawns and gardens of Penn House. As last year, British Cycling Go ride will be offering children's events and with bike demos, the vintage Concors d'elegance parade and other retro inspired fun, it will be a Great British summers day out for all the family.

With VIP hospitality available from Etape Suisse, the people behind some of the most exclusive cycling events in Europe, alongside some other truly "Heroic" attractions and memories for all vintage cycling fans the Chiltern Cycling Festival is set to be one of the most enjoyable cycling events of the year.

Chenies Velo Classique - 31 August 2015

Inspired by visits to similar events across Europe, the organising team have created a day that offers the very best of cycle culture and style. From bikes to clothing, the Chenies Velo Classique is a must for all Cycling connoisseurs. Whether you are looking for a 100 mile challenge with some of the toughest climbing in the Chilterns or a retro inspired route with "chalk roads" and great company, then Chenies Manor on August Bank Holiday is the place for you.

Course designer, Andy Coles remarked: "we wanted to put a Chiltern spin on the Strada Bianca theme so we've included sections of ancient bridleways that really evoke those dust and goggle images of past cycling legends."

Alongside the 3 fully supported sportive routes (100, 60 and 30 mile) there will also be the Velo Village , Retro Stalls, Cream Teas, Champagne & Pimms bar, high end cycling fashion and even a VIP option courtesy, again, of Etape Suisse

Set in the glorious grounds of historic Chenies Manor, just 20 miles from central London, again it has all the ingredients for a memorable day out for you, your colleagues and friends. With more Go ride family events, and even a maze for the kids, you can be sure that everyone is catered for as you soak up the relaxed atmosphere and savour the pleasure of a challenge well ridden
