HotChillee Alpine Challenge 2012: 10 Places Available

HotChillee's Alpine Challenge 2012 takes place from 5th to 9th September. The organisers HotChillee have announced ten places have become available due to cancellations.

The Alpine Challenge is a 4 stage Alpine event designed using the same formula as the famous HotChillee London-Paris. Based out of the beautiful lakeside town of Annecy in the Savoie region, the scenery and riding is breath taking.

This Is Your Chance To Take Your Place In The 2012 Edition

Riders can enjoy the benefits of rolling road closures, motorbike outriders and lead vehicles, whilst riding in one of four seeded groups commensurate with ability and supported by a professional crew including masseurs, mechanics and Mavic neutral service vehicles.

This event provides the opportunity to ride a series of mountain stages (approximately 110-120km per day), and is created to offer a Tour de France like experience. Following a stunning warm up ride around Lake Annecy on arrival, the event starts with a timed mountain stage which is used to seed riders into the appropriate groups. Thereafter comes 3 mountain stages crossing some of the infamous mountain stages such as the Cols des Aravis.

Each day there is a flagged timed climb, of which the aggregate time determines the Leaders Jersey winners (male and female) for the next stage.
