For those of you already familiar with popular coupon sites offering money off everything from cutlery sets to weekends away, you may be lamenting the fact that it's rare for a decent sports offer to come along. So, firstly what is SportPursuit? SportPursuit is the UK’s first sport daily deals site, offering its members insider access to winning sports brands every day at unbeatable prices. The team at SportPursuit spend a lot of time scouring the globe for the best sports brands, and ensure they bring their members only the very best deals on everything from household names to well-kept professional secrets. Their site sells kit for cycling, triathlon, running, swimming, ski gear…basically everything sporty. Think Groupon for top quality sports kit.
We decided it was time to sign up and find out what this was all about. It takes about 60 seconds to sign up and validate your email address before you get to see the goodies that are on offer. When we checked the site out on 8th September, they had a great selection of sales from 2XU, Orca, Powerbar, Vivo Barefoot and Prince. Each sale offers a selected range from a single brand and only runs for a few days so you need to keep an eye out for what is coming up on the site.
The site was intuitive and easy to use - it feels like a premium shopping experience until you look at the prices. The guys at SportPursuit claim they are trying to get the “Selfridges January sale” feel – with the best brands sold in a concession style but at fantastic prices”. The discounts varied from 30% to just over 60%, but our quick search definitely didn’t find any of the products cheaper elsewhere.
The main catch for us was that the delivery times are a bit longer than usual – typically a couple of weeks. Not great if you need it for the weekend, but, if the price is right and you are happy to wait a bit then well worth it.
We Like: Great prices, nice shopping experience, top quality brands, and did we mention great prices?
We Don’t Like: Having to sign up and slightly longer delivery times
