Wiggle Long One - 1 Week Left
by Henry Peacock
With just a week to go before this event This ride gets its name partly from being held on the longest weekend of the year (for daylight) and also because it has a 200km route.

Some Great Climbs
Fear not if the 200km Super Sportive is a bit too much, there is a 100km route also available. Aptly named the ‘Standard Route” Riders can start early (7.30am) to give themselves enough time to complete the challenge.
It all starts at the enchanting venue of the Open Air Museum in Singleton, which is at the foot of the famous Goodwood Hill and racecourse, providing spectacular views across patchwork fields and endless greenery.
The Long One is brimming with quality Climbs, with 9 major climbs and another 10 other significant climbs, completing this sportive could be your seasons crowning glory. The climbs involved include: Goodwood, Tower Hill (uppark) Butser Hill, Hyden Hill, High Cross, Haste Hill, Duncton Hill, Upwaltham Hill, St Roches and Old Winchester. The Route has also been designed to offer riders a ‘bail out’ point, where they can take the short 100km route, if they are not feeling so great.

Route Profile
The event includes all the sophistication you would expect from the highly regarded Wiggle Super series, including: Toilets, electronic timing, well stocked feed stations, parking, event photography, mechanical support, massages, bike wash facilities and most importantly a enjoyable and extremely well marked course.
In addition, riders will receive a top-notch goody bag worth over £12 including a copy of Cycling Plus, a water bottle and free energy products and bars.
