Sunny Bank Holiday Expected for Tour de Essex

by Holly Blades

With the Giro heating up as it hits the Queen Stage, temperatures look like they'll be going the same way this week as the Tour de Essex gets ready to take place on Sunday May 28th.

With sun sun sun on the radar for the bank holiday weekend, what better reason to get your best bike out and get involved in this great event.

This year will be the 4th year SportiveUK have hosted the Tour de Essex.  2014 was the first year, and a unique year for the County of Essex - the third stage of the Tour headed through many of the wonderfully road bike friendly lanes that SportiveUK cycle on a regular basis.

The Tour had a huge effect on this area of countryside, many roads were updated to accommodate the peloton. These immaculate surfaces will get your wheels spinning making for an impressive average speed.

With either the 110, 72 or 42 mile distance to choose from, they'll be plenty of snacks and refreshments on offer, as well as tea and coffee at all feed stops to help you around these beautiful, scenic roads.

We look forward to seeing you on the 28th May!
