Tour de Mon Cycle Sportive: 2017 Entries Now Open

by Holly Blades

Entries for the Anglesey's beautiful Tour de Mon 2017 cycle sportive are now open. Taking place on Sunday 20th August 2017, this hugely popular cycle sportive takes in the popular sights of the island of Anglesey, along with some of the less well known 'hidden gems' the area has to offer.

Circling the entire island of Anglesey (for the Mawr distance), you'll pass by typical Welsh coastal towns such as Beaumaris, Menai Bridge and Cemaes Bay, beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, all the while being cheered on by spectators and our famous and always enthusiastic marshals!

Three distances are available; the Mawr (107 miles), Canol (76 miles) and Back (42 miles), all starting and finishing in the popular harbour town of Holyhead.

Also returning for 2017 is Tour de Teulu family ride, which is suitable for children of all ages who are accompanied by parents or guardians. This also starts and finishes at Newry Beach, Holyhead, offering all the thrills and inspiration of the event atmosphere.

The Tour de Mon is the third of three Always Aim High Events cycle sportives to take place in North Wales in 2017, the Gran Fondo Conwy takes place in April, and the Snowdonia Etape Eryri in June. Taking part in all three offers the opportunity to see one of the most spectacular regions in the UK from a unique perspective!
