Specialized will be organising a new Sportive event in 2010 called the Specialized Silverstone Sportive. The multi choice distance challenge will be held at the Porsche Experience Centre and will start from the exclusive Porsche tracks next to Silverstone Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit on July 4th, 2010.
Jointly organised by Specialized and the renown event management company VoTwo, the new Specialized Sportive will benefit from an exclusive start and finish venue and facilities. The promotion of the event will be handled by Specialized while the pre and post registration process and logistics will be managed by VoTwo.
Richard Hemington, MD of Specialized explained “This is the first Specialized Sportive, what better location for it. Sportives are increasingly popular and we wanted to give these riders a great landmark for a new endurance challenge. It all came together when we met up with VoTwo”.
VoTwo “are really looking forward to working with Specialized to put on a great sportive event on one of the biggest weekends in the global cycling calendar – the beginning of the Tour De France 2010. It will be fantastic for riders of all abilities to be able to act on the buzz of inspiration created by the Tour and get out there to challenge themselves over 25, 50 or 100 miles on July 4th”.
