RIDERS in the 2011 Three Counties Challenge sportive on July 3rd are set to ride into history when they pedal past Pendragon Castle - reputed home of King Arthur's father, Uther. Designed to make the longer course even better, a more compact 109 miles version of the original course will now follow the Mallerstang Valley between Dent and Kirkby Stephen, but the supporting 60 miles route remains unchanged and Kendal Rotary Club and the Kent Valley Road Club are once again staging both rides from the superby-equipped Dallam School at Milnthorpe. So don't miss the chance to be wowed by truly stunning scenery in Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire, in a now tried and trusted sportive challenge on July 3rd, 2011.
You can enter online via www.3countieschallenge.org - it's still a value for money £25 for the longer ride and just £20 for 60-miler (10% discount if you register before 31 December 2010).
