I was a little nervous due to some of the critism as last years event. This was the first time I have participated in an SRS event but have done many other sportives. Either last years comments were erroneous or the team have really listened to the comments as this years event was perfect. Well organised. Friendly support team. Clear signage on what was an excellent route. My only neutral comment is the price which is a little more expensive than other events, but if this gaurantees quality then I am happy to pay. Will definately do this again.

Grat fun! Weather was great. Did the 88 mile route. The route was tough - a quick first 20 miles- got in a nice group of five and sped through this section - then 55 miles of relentless hills and a nice 10 mile run in. The hills were not big and all were manageable- even Cob lane which I didn't have to walk up - they just kept coming. Organisation was great, food was great and every one there was very friendly.

My 1st Cyclosportive. I started 1 1/2 hours behind the crowd due to being involved in a road traffic accident while driving to the start......but that is another story! Despite starting on my own and riding pretty much in a void the whole way round I found the signs clear and easy to follow. I did not go wrong once. Both feed stops I used had everything I needed. I went to some bad places and back during this ride but that was down to fitness not the location which you could not fault. Missed gold on the Classic by 1 second but I will be back next year to get my hands on it.

Rubbish signs at start - just about everyone ended up going the wrong way at least twice. This is the second event run by this lot where there have been no marshalls all the way along - some dangerous bits of road claimed at least one casualty - any chance you can pull your proverbial finger out and do what proper sportives do - sort the signs, get marshalls out and also get rid of the timer chip around the neck - it's naff.
As far as the route goes - very hard. Constant undulation made it a bit boring to be honest and difficult to get into a rhythm. Lovely country but maybe try finding longer hills rather than it being deja vu every 200 metres.
