I am new to cycling and this was my first cycling event, and the first time I had attempted 100k. I was feeling nervous when I arrived at the race HQ especially as it was an extremely windy day, but once I set off I was fine. I thought the route and the distance were perfect for less experienced riders and that most of the other riders were friendly and encouraging. The course was well signposted so you didn't have to worry about going the wrong way.I would definitely do this again and have recommended to others, I would just hope for less wind next time!

Brilliant. A friendly, well organised sportive. I'll be back next year to see what I can do if I train and the wind stays away!

the food stops were a bit far apart, and there was not enough drink dispensers
GPX files need to be accurate, if you go off course (because you can't follow the course) my Garmin gives up and recalculates the route to the destination. this is irritating but worse it drains the battery.
I expected to see more marshalls/riders en route

Well organised and enjoyed it. Might have been better to have the first feed station a little further away (eg 32 miles instead of 24).
Few comments I saw on Facebook also suggested the route was not quite the full distance. Might be better to have it an extra mile to take into account the sat nav (Garmin) adjustments.

This was only the 2nd sportive I've ever taken part in & it won't be the last. Great route, well organised with good feedstations, sweeper vehicles & mechanical support should you need it. Plus it's a great way to make friends. All for a very good price. Being able to choose your distance at a certain point was good too: I played it by ear at first but in the end I went for the full 100 miles. Glad I did, windy or not. Will definitely do it again & will try other sportives in the series.

It was a good days riding with nice scenery and views, if the wind had been less it would have been better. Roll on the next one!

My 1st Sportive and I had an absolutely brilliant day pity about the wind but you can't have everything.
As a suggestion would it be possible to have more warning prior to feed stations (e.g.) feed station 1 mile up the route, as I know one person missed the 1st one and had it not been for other cyclists being there I probably would have missed them. Concentrating on the route.

First sportive I've done and opted for the 100 miles. Apart from the wind, felt it was very well organised, especially with marshals riding around to check you were ok. Hope some more are arranged before next year.

Absolutely brilliant. Food stops were spot on, well stocked and at decent distances. Well marshalled, good facilities. Really difficult to find fault which I cannot. Well done
