It is still a good event and not so flat as to be easy. The Ditchling beacon climb at the end is a severe test for an early season event.

Great Event run by Cyclists for Cyclists. Good route challenging, well signed and great feed stations.
Weather was miserable but guess organisers cant be held responsible for this!

Really well run low key event that was well signposted. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere and with the easy chip in and out made it simple to record your time. A big thanks for the finish where the traffic was well marshalled, there can be some tension up Ditchling Beacon with drivers so this greatly helped. Finally, great flapjacks at the start!

I am new to riding and despite terrible weather it was a brilliant experience. Beautiful scenery on quiet back roads, delicious food and exceptionally friendly staff who even gave me a pep talk at the end about coming last when I'm sure he just wanted to get off the beacon and go home. I will definitely do it again.

Great event over a very challenging route. Could have done with a little bit more directional signage in places. However, warning signs for dangerous corners, etc was excellent. Marshalls/volunteers were exceptional. Overall one of the best sportives I have taken part in.

Great event, shame about the weather and some of the roads were quite mucky as a result but great all the same. Thank you!

Hi. Morgan, the organiser here. Thanks for reviewing. I am sorry about the gps file not being accurate for one of the reviewers. I've not had anyone else say the same thing, but it does mean that it's possible that the file you can download from ridewithgps is not reliable. Please conteact me directly if you want a file that accurately covers the route. Apologies also for fewer toilets than normal due to building work. We did have others available, but those were harder to find because they were at the far end of Registration. This will all be resolved by next year! Thanks for riding Puncheur, and thank you very much for taking time to feedback. Have a great season!

I was riding Puncheur for the second time and once again it was brilliant. The attention to detail and personal oversight by the organiser is clear to see in all aspects of this event. The food stop is the best I've seen at any sportive. The route is perfect for the time of year, its enough of a challenge to see how your winter training has gone without being a pointless slog. I'll definately be riding this again in 2015.

Very tough ride, but really well organised and will definitely be back next year.

Only criticism was that the GPS ride was not correct.

Otherwise, a great event, well done and many thanks

Only gave 8/10 for timing as my midway didn't register but no biggie. Gave 7/10 for facilities as the urinals were missing so everyone had to share only 2 cubicles at hq which was a bit of a drag. Only gave 8/10 for outriders/sag wagon as didn't see/use them so couldn't really say.
All others 10/10. Really enjoyed the day. Great organisation and small enough to be personal. Good route...tough at this point in the year but I'd highly recommend it.

Great event. Really good route (pretty testing, but a good length given the amount of climbing - especially with the finishing line being on top of Ditchling Beacon) - brilliant signage, friendly people (organisers and riders) and despite the howling wind, really enjoyable. Food at the stop was first rate. Only minor grumble was the lack of loos at the start, otherwise well done, I really enjoyed it.

superbly well organised. The chocolate brownies at the feed station were to die for. The signage was faultless. Marshalls were polite and extremely helpful. All round a top notch effort. My time was disgracefully slow but I enjoyed the event immensely and will ride again next year. Most importantly, I can't recommend it highly enough.

This was a superb event and one I'll attend every year from now on. It has a great atmosphere and you feel very well looked after from the moment you turn up to a brilliant post ride recovery hot chocolate, pasta and brownies. The route has something for everyone, some amazing downhills, punchy hills, then a long climb up the Beacon at the end. There was a real buzz around the course, lots of chatty people, very friendly. I couldn't recommend the event enough to people.

This event continues to evolve with improved rider facilities every year and coupled with variable early season weather makes for a great but testing ride.
