First long sportive and was a really love route. Fantastic signage - never any doubt as to the course. Good stops. Maybe another tea and biscuits on the 84 - nothing from 40 miles until the end, and if the weather was either hotter or indeed cold and wet, another break would have been appreciated. Lovely, friendly marshals and a great welcome at the finish.

I enjoyed a brilliant day on Sunday, many thanks. This was only my 2nd sportive ride, and I successfully completed the 84 mile route, which was my longest ride to date! Route was lovely and well signed. My only slight negative comment would be that we enjoyed the tea and biscuit stop at 20 miles, and the lunch stop at 40 miles, but to then ride the remaining distance of 40 miles in that heat was too long! Either a 3rd tea stop or moving the 2 stops so that the whole of the ride was more evenly broken up would have been better.
Will definately ride another local event with you again!

One of the best organised events i have experienced. Brilliant route very quiet roads and great scenery.

Only one suggestion would be ro have the flapjack station at the first stop.

I rode the 100 course as a member of Newark Riders along with many others from our local club. We thought it was really well organised in all aspects from booking, signage, location, route and staffing for the price of the entry and certainly the cheapest sportive I have participated in.

The only thing I have marked down is the final feed station as there wasn't a great deal left by the time we arrived and it was only 1.30pm. Also, there was no electrolyte powder available at the second feed station but that's minor.

It was a great day weather wise and we all thoroughly enjoyed the route.

Thank you for putting it on and we hope there'll be a King Edward event again next year.

Great event. Would have liked a savoury choice that wasn't just tortilla wraps but otherwise food and quantity was great. Also appreciated the broom wagon parked up further on offering water after last stop.
Really enjoyed the route. Quiet roads and great views

I have helped at many of the Sportive but this is the first where I have ridden myself. There was so much encouragement and support at the start, feed stations and throughout the course from fellow riders.

Nice and flat but a bit boring. Try to incorporate some landmarks etc. Also wouldn't do again as really poor condition roads with way too many potholes or substandard tarmac. Staff, support, stops and signage all fantastic

Fantastically organised at a really great price. It's nice to have people who care about cycling more than making money.
