The 2012 Three Counties Challenge sportive on July 8th offers the well established and popular 60 mile route, together with last year's revised long route. This has been remeasured as 112 miles and follows the Mallerstang Valley between Dent and Kirkby Stephen passing Pendragon Castle. If the weather is as good as last year, riders can look forward to another outstanding event through tremendous scenery. See our web site at www.3countieschallenge.org for maps and full details.
On-line Registration is now open for the 2012 event (or registration forms can be downloaded) at the Three Counties Challenge website. Entry fees are unchanged from last year making this not only one of the friendliest and best organised events in the North West but a real bargain for 2012.
All proceeds from this event go to support young athletes at the start of their careers, and the Morecambe Bay Search and Rescue organisation. Reports from the five recipients of Young Sportsperson awards last year are available at: www.kendalrotaryclub.org/index.php/new-generations and are very encouraging for the future of sport in this country.
