Herts Easter Hunt

09/04/2017 - Hertfordshire - Sportive

Rating: Rate this Event Now

Eating a lot of chocolate this Easter? This sportive will help you get your shape back after all those indulgent moments. There is a choice of either 33, 63 or 96 miles depending on your level of fitness.

All three routes take in the spectacular countryside of Hertfordshire - passing through the many quaint villages it has to offer on its quiet, rural roads. The picturesque views will help you tackle the undulating hills these routes have to offer, which should make this one of the more memorable sportives of the season.

Our much talked about feed stops will help you on your way, where you'll be able top up your bottles and tuck into some of our famous homemade flapjacks, as well as cheese and crackers if you prefer something more savoury.

Three Spectacular Routes

You have the choice of a 96, 63 or 33 mile course. Hertfordshire's famed changes in elevation will certainly keep you on your toes no matter what route you choose.

The medium and long routes follow spectacular countryside, through villages such as Dane End, Ardeley, Gravely and St Pauls Walden. The 63 miles course goes up to Weston and breaks off from the Long route at Preson to return through the lanes of Codicote.  The Long split heads out West towards Whipsnade Zoo (not quite making it to see the wallabies) out towards the chilterns and touches Buckinghamshire tasting some of the hills the area is renowned for before returning to meet the medium route via Studham and Harpenden. The medium and Long then have 18 miles to go at this feed stop, where they will head through Burnham Green, Tewin and then finally up through Essenden (and the hill) back to the event HQ.

Please note - routes may be subject to slight changes due to unforeseen conditions at the time of the event.
