The Balance Coast to Coast Three Parks Ride
09/06/2017 - Seascale to Scarborough - Multi-Day
Weeks to go until event: less than 12 weeks
A fully supported 160-mile ride over two days from Seascale to Scarborough through the stunning scenery of the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors on the 10th and 11th June, 2017. There are some very challenging climbs in the Lakes as we'll be heading over Hardknott Pass and Wrynose Pass, but the distance that day is relatively short at just over 60 miles and day 2, whilst longer at over 90 miles is more undulating than hilly. You'll need to put some training in and have a road bike but you don't need to be superhuman to join us by any means.
We'll have support riders and a mechanic on hand throughout to keep you moving. The aim is to create a fun and social atmosphere where you can meet great people, see some fantastic scenery, get fit and overcome a tough challenge at the same time. All profits from the event are going to fund the care of my brother-in-law who was shot in the head in an armed robbery on Christmas Day and is now blind.
The price includes accommodation on the 9th, 10th and 11th June, with breakfast, dinner and pitstop snacks on the days of the bike, as well as transport back to the start on the 12th if required. Meals are available on the night of the 9th for an additional fee. We'll be giving a detailed breifing of the ride the night before we start and you'll have the chance to meet the team and other riders too, before breakfast at the hotel and setting out early on the morning of the 10th.
There are 30 spaces but over half have gone already so book fast to ensure your place. I hope you can join us for what will be a fun, friendly and challenging few days. If you have any questions at all then by all means get in touch or request our Ride Guide through the web link provided.
