Great event on a super course, well signed and well attended. No - nonesence timig procedure. Only minor gripe is sometimes signs covering 3 routes were confusing, and a bigger use of "Long route ahead" etc would be great. Will do this event again, a great start to the season on an interesting course!

Just thought the event ws a real disappointment. The web-site was very professional, but so many simple things were not right. The feed station was chaotic and quite poorly positioned on the road. The final return at HQ was unclear, so most riders rode round the car park instead of down the finishing straight. The drink bottle freebies were really crappy and gave the impression of an event "Done on the Cheap". I know its the thought that counts, but surely it would be better to twist the arm of a sponsor to provide a quality product, as done by Polocini !! In my kitchen trophy room of freeby drinks bottles this will be the first to go to re-cycle.

In summary, I would not recommend this event as it lacks total charisma and can only think what it would be like in bad weather. I really think the organisers should take note of the Polocini events as it is just so much more appealing, whatever the weather

good event. bit tricky to find and soon ran out of carpark space. feed station on 80 not very good, small table with high5 tank, and a few bananas and flapjacks.

An excellent season opener in a really nice area , My only 'gripes' are a/. although the course was well signed, at the HQ it would have been useful to have been given a little better guidance as I wasn't sure if the queue I'd joined was for the gents or for number! Which leads well into b/. there were only two male toilets (that I could find) which meant lengthy queues. and c/. The 'free pie' at the finish wasn't cooked, raw pastry and hard potato, indigestible!

A really enjoyable day with quick and easy collection of race number and goody bag, great facilities at HQ, lovely scenery but with just a few niggles over the route marking and at the end it wasn't completely clear which way to finish in the school grounds or where the finish line was

Good route for the time of year; always seems to get good weather. The finish down the A6 was a little busy but hard to see how to improve; it took me around 30mins to sort the times into order with ratings/average speeds etc so this would've been nice to see instead of just random times shown on the website.
Good overall event and more challenging than previous years. Well done Torelli.

Excellent course and very well organised. I don't see how you could get lost as not only was there signage but also red arrows on the road. One sign had been moved, but this was the only place I went wrong. Good to see pies and mushy peas at the end. Good warm up for the Cheshire Cat so well done to all.

I worked my socks off, trained really hard to try and post a decent time. Due to the signage towards the end i got confused and ended up on the 80 route instead of the 50. Once climbing the large steep climb and realising i was lost, lost all my momentum, cadence and enthusiasm. Because i knew that i was doing the 50 mile flat sprint, i put a lot of effort in to the flat 50 and when i had finished the climb i had nothing left and hit the wall.
Dissapointing i complete at least two sportives a month throughout the season and i have never got lost before.
