Great ride with fast flat start and finish with a surprisingly punchy hilly middle section in gorgeous countryside, the bright yellow rapeseed fields are the local version of french sunflower fields and what has to be one of the best last miles up the cobbled michaelate and into the beautiful castle square. Really well supported by local yellow bellies too!

Beautiful route through lovely countryside roads. Almost traffic free in parts, with plenty of friendly riders to form groups with. The finish up to the cathedral in the town centre was brilliant, and seeing the pros attack the cobbled climb the next day, having completed it already, was even better. As a regular sportive rider, I would truly recommend this one!

My first timed Sportive. Quiet country roads on a relatively flat course. Fairly open and breezy. Great finish.

The organisation was efficient, the feed stations good and well stocked with some nice cakes and crisps rather than the usual gels. Post ride there was sandwiches and hot drinks included in the entry fee. But what really set this event apart for me was the route. It was incredibly quiet and scenic and apart from riding in and out of Lincoln there wasnt a main road in sight. To cap it all off theres the finish up the cobbled street in Lincoln which makes you feel for a tiny moment like the pros who rode the course next day. This is a great little event.

Would prefer something savoury and more like food than a cake at last feed station, like a sandwich. Obviously toilets are always going to be an issue at the feed stations, queues are inevitable i guess.

Will ride next year and bring at least 8 riders from out of the area

Excellent day for my first Sportive. Unfortunately, I broke my wrist within 200 yards of the finish line, when trying to remount my bike on the Michaelgate climb. Still finished on my bike though. Can't wait for next year.
