The route traverses the Cambrian Mountains, starting in the scenic Elan Valley, and reaching the coast at Machynlleth. It then crosses back over the Cambrians from Talybont, via Devils Bridge, finishing back in the Elan Valley. En route you will pass 5 reservoirs, reach a maximum altitude of 509m and descend to a low point of just 6m above sea level.
For those who fancy a similar ride, but with less miles, there is the 78km Devil's Return route, through the same scenic, mountainous terrain
A shorter route of 30km is offered, but is nevertheless quite a challenge, with a 3 and a half mile climb to the top of Penrhiwen, followed by a descent of the Elan Valley.
Well equipped feeding stations provide food and drink, and a meal is served at the Finish.
