A Distance For Everyone

All routes start/finish from Buntingford and with either a 21, 42, 75 and 100 mile choice, it'll ensure there's a distance to help in pushing your limits. If your worried about signing up to a distance your not quite ready for, there'll still be a chance to switch on the day by following the relevant arrows.

21 Miles

Supporting a friend or relative? Or maybe you just fancy a short Sunday morning ride. This route will ensure you a ticket round a well signed course where you can enjoy the atmosphere of the day. This route heads west towards Hare Street and down through Walkern and then starts heading back through Dane End, where you'll face the last push through Nasty.

42 Miles

The 42 miler is a great route for the beginner, or for those seasoned riders who just fancy an shorter day in the saddle. The 42 miler heads West like the shorter route, and then splits at east at Nasty towards further picturesque villages such as The Hadhams, Stocking Pelham, and Berden where you'll be able to tuck into some home made flapjacks to help you in your final 10 miles. before. The 1700ft of climbing will give your legs a relatively easy ride, allowing you to explore picturesque villages and enjoy beautiful scenery.

75 Miles

This is the perfect distance for those who have had a steady season and managed to keep the miles going. With 3000ft of climbing, it's not the hilliest of courses and will allow those wanting to stretch their distances to do so. After enjoying the many scenic views of the 42 mile route, this splits at Brent Pelham, taking you further north towards the county of Cambridgeshire through Great Chishill and then heading back south into Hertfordshire through Langley, Rickling Green and Manuden, before making that final feed stop at Berden, where you'll be able to grab a cheese and cracker for that final push.

100 Miler

What a great way to ignite your fund raising, and surely the golden distance that all cyclists want to say they've achieved. What better opportunity to do this, with 4000ft of climbing and rolling countryside lanes, this route has been designed to get a 100 miles on the clock without too much of a struggle. The full 100 mile course enjoys the same lovely scenery as the 75 miler, but then heads further north into Cambridgeshire through Newton and up to Little Shelford, allowing you to rack up the miles on this fairly flat terrain. It then heads South through Duxford, Ickelton and Elmdon before joining back on the 75 mile route at Great Chishill. With plenty of feed stops and support on route, this surely is the best opportunity to hit that distance!
