Help us celebrate the tenth running of this sportive, designed by fellow cyclists for your enjoyment, and raise money for local good causes. Organised by volunteers from Dumfries Cycling Club, Devorgilla  Rotary Club and Dalbeattie Community Initiative. The Registration, Start and Finish is at Dumfries Rugby Club on the western outskirts of Dumfries.

Compared to most of the UK, traffic levels in Dumfries and Galloway are light which makes for relaxing and enjoyable cycling.

The routes initially head South towards the conservation village of New Abbey. The Short route turns off on the outskirts of the village towards Beeswing, and the feeding station. Then straight across a main road to join National Cycle Route 7 (NCR) to Lochfoot and back to Dumfries.

The Medium and Long routes continue through New Abbey, past Sweetheart Abbey and along the coast with views across the Solway to the Lake District. Then on past the entrance to RSPB Mersehead reserve and on to Dalbeattie. The Medium route goes straight ahead to the village of Haugh of Urr to re-join NCR 7 back to Dumfries.

The Long route continues round the coast to Palnackie, and Auchencairn. The road climbs through Auchencairn, followed by a twisty descent and climb through Dundrennan. The undulations continue before a fast and bumpy descent towards Kirkcudbright and the feeding station and toilets. The route then follows NCR 7, for a 3 mile climb out of Kirkcudbright. A twisty descent leads to a fast section to Gelston, followed by a climb and descent back to Dalbeattie. The route turns up the Urr valley to Haugh of Urr to re-join NCR 7 up and down along the old military road back to Dumfries for refreshments.
