Women's Intro to Cycling
21/03/2013 - Nice - Training Camp
Too scared to join cycle training camps as they are only aimed at experienced riders? Unsure of the etiquette of group riding? Never climbed or descended a mountain? Want to learn how to change a puncture? Looking for a social weekend as well as developing your cycling skills?
Then Cycle Cote d'Azur have the answer!
Join us for a fun cycling break on the beautiful, chic Cote d'Azur, where you can boost your skills and confidence on the bike, as part of a women-only group taking on some of the prettiest country roads that France has to offer.
The weekend is hosted by women for women. We are aware of different needs of our clients and want you to leave having added a whole host of positives to your riding.
You will stay in a hotel in central Nice and each day you will learn new techniques from our very own Cycle Coach (skills include group riding, climbing, descending, cornering and using the gears). Then our experienced guides will take you out on some stunningly beautiful routes, to put the new skills into practice at a sociable pace. On the final day together we will tackle a 10km long climb putting all the new skills into practice!
The long weekend you will provide a welcoming environment surrounded by like-minded individuals where you can ask the questions you want - about riding, bike parts, clothing, nutrition or bike comfort - to help you develop. Surrounded by like-minded individuals, you will be taught basic bike maintenance, so you'll never need to ask anyone to change your tyres or brake blocks for you ever again. After, you'll enjoy a relaxing yoga session with cycling specific stretches to help you unwind, and provide you with tips to stay injury-free. Each night you will enjoy a local Niçoise meal with wine together and have to chance to ask the coach and guides the questions you've always wanted to.
You'll leave a more confident road cyclist, inspired to go out and enjoy yourself - and maybe set yourself a new challenge to work towards in 2013!
