Description:
The Hardest sportive in the UK?... 'you judge!'
'The Long One' is no ordinary sportive; this 'Super Sportive' which is longer than normal taking place on the weekend of the longest day of the year. The 207km (129mile) sportive with 3669 meters of climbing is not for the faint hearted.
Starting from just outside Goodwood, the course takes in some of the best climbs and quietest roads the North and South Downs has to offer. With 9 major climbs and 5 other significant climbs, completing this sportive could be your seasons crowning glory!
If you are looking for a shorter option, there is a 104km (66miles) route which is equally as challenging with 1356 meters of climbing.
The event includes all the sophistication you would expect, including: Toilets, electronic timing, well stocked feed stations, tarmac parking, over £10 of free energy products, event photography, mechanical support, bike wash facilities and most importantly an enjoyable and extremely well marked course!
So all you need to do is turn up and ride!
