The Route

We'll take you from the outskirts of London, on open but quiet country roads through some beautiful towns and villages along the Thames Valley - including the jaw dropping views of Virginia Water and Henley-on-Thames. The beautiful spring countryside will provide the picturesque backdrop to this amazing day out, as you head for the glory of crossing the finish line in the bustling town of Reading.

The gradient isn't too hilly - but don't get lulled into a false sense of security. With around 5 miles to go lies the big bad climb known as Chalk Hill. It's tough on the legs but if you can pedal all the way to summit - it will make the feeling of crossing that finish line feel all the more sweeter.

This isn't a race. It's about taking part and conquering a challenge in support of the fight against heart disease. So make sure you enjoy the views, stop at some of our lovely refreshment points, and soak up the fun-filled atmosphere provided by all of our amazing participants.

The route will be fully signed, marshalled and there will be first aid and mechanical support throughout.

Complimentary water and a small range of snacks will be available at the refreshment points along the route, water will also be available at the beginning and end of the ride.

There will be food and drink available to purchase at the start and finish sites and at a range of pubs and cafes that lie along the route.

Toilets will be available at the start and finish sites.

There will also be free massages for all participants available at the finish.

Completely planned, organised and managed by the British Heart Foundation,  this event exists in order to raise funds for our life saving research. Research  that will, one day, put a stop to the devastation caused by heart disease.

Creating an online  fundraising page is the easiest way to raise money. It takes a few  minutes to set up and a link can then be easily shared with your friends and  family on social media and by email. Remember, you're taking part in an amazing  challenge - people will want to support you.
