The inaugural l'Etape London by Le Tour de France, organised by Human Race and in support of Access Sport brings the glamour of the Tour de France to the capital, following sister event the Maserati Tour de Yorkshire Ride. The open roads route for the event takes in much of Stage Three of the 2014 Tour de France route and culminates spectacularly with a lap of honour around the Lee Valley VeloPark at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home of the London 2012 Games. It sold out in 2015, making it a must-ride event for those lucky enough to get a place.

Human Race Events, organisers of 13 prestigious UK sportives including the Wiggle Dragon Ride and Tour de Yorkshire Ride has teamed up with Tour de France organisers, ASO to deliver a one-of-a-kind cycling experience in London on Sunday 27 September, taking in much of the Stage 3 of the 2014 Tour de France.

EL1

Do not miss the inaugural L'Etape London by Le Tour de France, the Official Tour de France Legacy Sportive for London, which will bring the glamour, history and prestige of the Tour to the capital. The event offers routes of 42, 92 and 117 miles, much of it in the very tire-marks of champions. The L'Etape London sportive is expected to follow its sister event the Maserati Tour de Yorkshire Ride (3rd May 2015), which took in Stage 1 of the 2014 Tour, and sell-out extremely quickly, making it the must-ride event of 2015 for those lucky enough to get a place. Entries are expected to sell extremely fast - so being as speedy as Mark Cavendish will be the key!

The route for the event will take in much of Stage Three of the 2014 Tour de France route and culminates spectacularly with a timed lap of honour around the Lee Valley VeloPark at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home of the London 2012 Olympics. Riders will be able to experience a number of exclusive Tour de France inspired experiences, including:

*             Tour de France styled ride numbers and route signage

*             A leg shaving experience in the event village

*             The official Tour de France finish podium, promo staff & a photo experience

*             Multiple chances to win official Tour De France Jerseys (yellow, green, white & polka-dot)

*             A Départ Réel

*             The official Tour de France 1km to go arch

*             Official Tour de France vehicles and a professional team's Team Bus

Five times winner of the Tour de France, Bernard Hinault commented " I was sure that the fantastic popular enthusiasm which accompanied the Tour de France 2014 peloton would not vanish. It's a chance for the fans to challenge themselves on a route strongly inspired by the Tour de France 2014 stage 3. All those wanting to experience again the enthusiasm aroused by the Tour de France in last July will have to be present on L'Etape London by Le Tour de France."
