Welcome to the New Look 10th Tour of Worcester

We have revised the long route this year to take in quieter roads and the climb out of Stanford Bridge after the feed at Martley. This will take to the start of the "killer option" of Wynniattes Way, and back onto the old route.

On Sunday Registration will not open before 07.30 and closes at 08.45. Registration is also open SATURDAY 4pm-7pm for all riders and "On the Day Entries" at £30.00 Canter, £35.00 Gallop. Please sign on and collect your ride number and timing card, for each route and display your number on the front of your cycle so we can recognise you enroute.   Free tea and instant coffee will be available at signing on.

Start and Finish

Both rides will start from 08.00 and last rider can leave at 08.45. Riders will be allowed to leave in small groups of 10-15 maximum, so groups wishing to ride together please organise yourselves to arrive at the start arch in your group. Please note that start times are subject to change should the weather be foggy, and if so please fit lights to your bikes.
Please hand in your timecard at the start with our staff so we know you are on the route.

Route Please follow the GREEN arrows which will be situated at each turn and approximately every 1 or 2 miles, please adhere to the warning signs placed at various points around the route for your safety and to warn oncoming traffic.
There will not be any route cards or maps for this year's route. GPX files are available on line and listed below.

There will be a FEED stop at the Martley Memorial hall at 31.5 miles, There will energy drinks and products, cake, bananas and a range of savouries. There is only one feed for both routes.
The Feed opens at 10 00am and closes at 11.45am

  • At 37.5 miles there is the famous "Killer Option" of Wynniattes Way a 25% climb well known in the area and a great test for the climbers, it is an option to complete it.
  • We will announce the condition of the climb at registration and if it is ride able. If you do not wish to attempt the climb, follow the normal signs
  • At 49 miles you will reach a very dangerous descent with a FORD at the bottom on the descent. This will be heavily signed and currently is just ride able and there is a footbridge as our preferred option. PLEASE ADHERE TO THESE WARNING SIGNS Please check the notice board at the start for up to date information on the route condition.
  • We reserve the right to alter the route on safety grounds at any time.
  • LEFT for long route and STRAIGHT ON for the short route.
  • The ARROWS are the same for both routes.
  • The routes merge in Shrawley on the B4196 with 11 miles to the finish
  • The final miles in Worcester follow a local cycle route 46 and through a park and onto the Racecourse to avoid the main roads, please take care to check you are on route when arriving back into Worcester.
  • These paths are shared with walkers and other cyclists and bring you past the main racecourse grandstand. You will have to re-cross the racecourse back to the finish.
  • PLEASE note the finish will close at 4.00pm.

Please make a note of the emergency telephone number HQ 07803035845 as shown at signing on.
