Great event for my first sportive - if rather damp. I know some parts of the course well, but the bits I didn't, the signage was very good and clear. Those manning the feed stops were brilliant - keeping up their high spirits and helpfulness in spite of the terrible weather.
I did the shorter course and found it interesting and alot of fun and more than challenging enough for my first long ride.
Well done to the organisers and thanks to the other riders for their good humour and camaraderie in the face of some atrocious conditions. Bring on next year!

Fantastic organisation, great signage, really friendly volunteers, top class feed stations and a brilliant route. A really well run sportive - just a shame about the weather - I will be back to do it in better conditions (hopefully!)

Loved every god dam minute of it!
Had sussed the route out and glad I had!
Boltby bank is still haunting me although I did get up it a little further 3rd Time.
The in you face rain and wind after Boltby before the turning to Old Byland was vicious as was coming into Helmsley. Was hoping for 4hrs but made 5hrs 37 instead. The descents were not as fast as on our recci rides!
There were too many cars coming fast down Boltby bank a cautionary sign at the top would have alerted car drivers!
Thanks for all the organisation that went into this event. Very pleased to have done it at 64 with a replacement hip(6/16),!!πŸ€--πŸ€--🚴🏼🚴🏼

This was an extremely well organised and enjoyable sportive. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the post ride hospitality was brilliant. After a long wet, windy ride the hot food and coffee in a warm environment was most welcome. The food stations were well stocked with lovely cakes, sandwiches, gels and water and the staff very helpful and supportive. Will definitely be riding this event next year.

Very well organised in the most appalling weather. Heavy rain and flooded roads. Great scenery in a fabulous part of the world. Mainly v quiet roads. Well signposted. Great feeds. Looking forward to next years event as the weather must be better!.

Excellent sportive, in a stunning area. The roads are mostly quiet. There is a chunk that needs covering on the busy A170 from Helmsley, but to be fair to the organisers, this is difficult to get around.
Despite being soaked to the skin (after 7 weeks of zero rain...) I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back next year.

A great route, beautiful and challenging and definitely worth riding. Organisers need to be better aware of the impact of weather on riders. and be braver about cancelling or postponing.

A fantastic route and despite the very wet and windy conditions the support staff were fantastic. A big thank you to those who manned the drink and feed stations for braving the conditions, the medical support team (I hope their expertise was not required) and the organising committee for their efforts in promoting an event that highlighted the beauty of the local countryside. I would recommend this event to any cyclist wanting a stiff challenge on mainly quiet and scenic lanes. (Struggling to find times, at time of review)

Overall a enjoyable route dispite the weather. Would entertain in participating in 2019. Slight improvement to the feed stations would be a great improvement.
