Forming part of a huge weekend of activities (brought to you by our new event partner - ADRIA), the ULTRA, CHAPEAU and ESPRESSO routes have been re-developed to really showcase the highlights of why Mercia got the world in motion; Bridgnorth was once one of the busiest river ports in Europe; the Severn Valley Railway connecting Worcetershire with Shropshire; The magnificent Clee Hill climb looms large at the southern end; the birth-place of the modern day Olympics - Much Wenlock; Up and over The Wrekin; and finally, the world's first iron bridge (the internationally recognised symbol of the Industrial Revolution) in Ironbridge. This is a sportive delivered by KILO TO GO - we go further.
Weston Park stately home will be a beautiful backdrop for the sportive, with much more on offer this year courtesy of Experience Freedom. As well as the opportunity for a leisurely stroll around the fabulous estate, there will be a big festival around the start/finish line which is open to riders and spectators to attend, with fun activities for all the family, food and drink plus a craft fair. ADRIA will also have a selection of their motorhomes and caravans on show for you browse should you be intrigued!
The event also forms the starting point for our ULTRA routes with 2,000m of climbing. A great challenge that can be ridden by most sportive riders taking on 100 miles.
