Reading Cycling Club are promoting a Sportive ride through the beautiful Berskhire Downs on July 18th 2010. There are two events: One of 110km and 1700 metres of ascent, and the other of 195km and 2900 metres of ascent.
The event is being promoted in the memory of Anthony Maynard, who was killed, while cycling, in a road traffic accident near Henley on Thames in July 2008. Anthony was just 25 when he died, a popular young man, and a keen and talented Sportive rider. This event will be a fitting tribute.
