Pearson Cycles invite you to join the them in 2010 to celebrate their 150th year anniversary. You can choose between one of two distances, 150km or 75km to help raise money for the Royal Marsden Hospital and a charity recently launched as part of the celebrations - The Pearson 150 Foundation - Right To Ride.
The 150km Anniversary route will take you south through the lanes of Surrey and Sussex, taking in the climbs of the North and South downs, followed by a swift descent to the half way marker at Brighton. There you can take in the sea air and refuel. The second half of the route will take you north again, riding through exquisite undulating scenery to the finish. Timing chips will be clocked in and results instantly available.

The Challenge route is 75km through leafy lanes in Surrey taking in some easier ascents of the north downs. The halfway mark will be just on the borders of Sussex where the ride turns for home via a refuelling point and more beautiful lanes en route. Again, at the finish, timing chips will be clocked in and results available.

The Royal Marsden Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer sufferers, helping people of all ages from all over the country. Cancer touches the lives of so many people and we at Pearsons owe a great debt to the Marsden, for the treatment that Wills and Guys father received following diagnosis and in his final days battling this disease.
We would also like to raise money for a new charity we have recently launched as part of the 150 year celebrations, "Pearson 150 - Right To Ride". This charity aims to encourage schools and youth organisations to apply for a grant to buy bikes, equipment and training for their pupils or members. This will encourage those children and families who may not normally be exposed to cycling to learn to ride bikes and be competent in their skills and cyclecraft. Additionally, through these grants, we envisage families pursueing this healthy mode of transport and making safer cycle journeys by road, excerising their "Right To Ride".
Car parking will be available at the Marsden along with facilities and refreshments!
