Though the ride distances and distances will look similar to last year, let me assure you all 3 routes are a lot more difficult than last years. The scenic 100km course incorporates quiet country lanes around the Malvern Hills with its spectacular views of the 3 counties. The route is a challenging one involving 1440 metres of climbing with 6 featured climbs, Hollybush, Evendine Lane and Snailbank being the toughest parts of the circuit. Ideal for 1st time sportive riders aswell as challenging the experienced cyclist.

The sportive starts from the stately grounds of the National Trust Kingston Lacy house and follows the private estate round out on to classic English country lanes. After the great feedback of the 1st sportive event held in 2011 the 80 mile course has now been extended to a 100 mile route.

The Lord Whisky Cyclo-Sportive will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 4th June 2012. The course is fully signed and on quite roads, including the North Downs and Romney Marsh (with a few hills!). You can ride distances of 80kms (50 miles) or 116kms (72 miles). The event will start and finish at the Park House Animal Sanctuary in Stelling Minnis. To celebrate 60 years of Her Maj we will be riding 60 miles of glorious Cheshire roads and eating copious amounts of cake. We expect the roads to be quiet whilst the plebs stay at home glued to their boxes watching the Royal celebrations. The route is pan flat on lovely smooth roads and is the ideal end to a long Bank Holiday weekend. The feed station is the Eureka Cyclists Cafe.

Enjoy this stunning two day challenge ride now in its third year. Day 1 covers 156miles ,Day two 120miles. Riders set of in three groups fast, medium and slow and cycle around the counties boarders in a clockwise direction. Fully supported all the way, day one concludes with an overnight stay at the picturesque seaside town of Arnside. Day two concludes with a police escort through the market town of cockermouth. Mission complete!

Brewood Cycle Challenge 2012
