04/05/2008, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Wales
The Preseli Teifi Cyclosportive is a new road cycling event which takes advantage of the quiet roads, varied terrain and spectacular coastal scenery in the North Pembrokeshire Preseli region and the lower Teifi River valley. The event itself has been evolved from “cycle orienteering” and AUDAX events held in previous years. There will however be some challenging ascents on both loops with around 7000’ of climbing over the 77.5 miles. The event is co-organised by the Newport Bay Spring Festival Society and the Cardigan based Velo Teifi and proceeds from the event will be split between these two non-profit organisations.

Both routes include some challenging climbs and scenic country lanes. There are three intermediate Checks on the longer route (two of which also appear on the shorter route) where basic refreshments are provided.
