Members Insurance
When participating in cyclosportives, you are covered by the event's public liability insurance that protects members of the public should anyone participating be at fault.
If an event is insured through us, then cyclists have the additional benefit of participant to participant cover. However not all events are insured through us and other providers don't provide any participant to participant cover, leaving you with the risk of personal liability and damages, if you were to be involved in an accident with another rider.
What about when you are out training, riding to work or participating in an event abroad?

Our membership is accepted worldwide, to allow you to participate in any cyclosportive or non-competitive event with proof of comprehensive insurance. *You may be required to provide a medical certificate for events abroad.
By having our membership card you can be rest assured, knowing that if anything should happen, then finance is not an issue.
An annual membership offering 365 day, 24 hour Cycling Cover including:
Third Party Personal Liability Insurance.
Personal Accident Insurance.
Physiotherapy cover.
Loss of Earnings.

Worldwide cover.
Membership is available to United Kingdom, Channel Islands and Republic of Ireland
residents only, for cyclists from age 10 to age 69.
At Cyclosport we believe it is important that you have all the information you need
before committing to our membership and that you know what is and is not included,
what will happen if things go wrong and how it will be handled. Our membership has
been specifically designed for people who participate regularly in cyclosportives, train

If you are involved in an accident the most important issues can be taken care of:
- personal liability, personal accident compensation (but not medical expenses**)
and loss of earnings.

Our membership is designed to ensure that you have some compensation and
protection for financial loss as a result of an accident and some help in recovering from injury.
We believe our options give you up to date benefits and the flexibility to choose a level of cover that meets your lifestyle.
**Our membership does not include holiday or travel insurance. Whilst valid worldwide it provides cover only in the event of an accident cycling, it will not pay medical bills or repatriate you home from abroad.

the Independent Association of Cyclosportive Organisers (IACO) becomes a recognised organisation that will protect the interests of organisers and
cyclists who participate regularly in cyclosportives. Working to ensure increasing organisational and health and safety standards are met.
