The Paul Kirk North Lincs Cyclosportive REVIEW

The Paul Kirk North Lincs Cyclosportive REVIEW

The North Lincs CycloSportive has been re-named as the 'Paul Kirk North Lincs Cyclosportive'. This is as a memorial to local cyclist Paul Kirk who was a keen cyclist and charity fund raiser. Arriving at the Leisure Centre, it was once again cold, but thankfully dry. Still very much in start-up mode the 100mile option is out for me, but the 100km offered a challenge.

Motion in Mercia REVIEW

Motion in Mercia REVIEW

With this event being local to me I had the luxury of a lie in, and the overnight frost had started to melt under blue skies as I packed the car for the short trip to Wolverhampton and the start of a new event for Kilo To Go. They have started running a sort of preview ride in the form of the free to attend Ride Outs and the first one of the year in early January was for this new sportive. Wiggle New Forest Spring Saturday Sportive REVIEW

Wiggle New Forest Spring Saturday Sportive REVIEW

Etape Cymru Press Day REVIEW

Etape Cymru Press Day REVIEW

I rode the inaugural Etape Cymru in October last year, which although had a fantastic and challenging route, was let down by a number of logistical and organisational errors. I was fortunate therefore to be invited to the press launch of the revamped 2012 edition, which would be a good opportunity to see what new organisers Participate Sport (whose staff were organisers of the Etape Caledonia and London Triathlon) have planned to combat the problems.
