Back by popular demand after the huge success of the last two year's event, we promise an even better sportive to kick start your summer 2012. Two distances, 150km or 75km, a great day of riding, beautiful scenery, and a challenge for all levels of rider in aid of Royal Marsden Hospital.

Wrynose or Bust: Are you ready for this, three great routes through cracking countryside and all starting from the Halton Army Training Camp. A continental-style cycling sportive event of 112 miles, Wrynose or Bust tracks through the hills of the southern Lake District, with over 1000 metres of ascent with Wrynose Pass in the middle. The Bay Dash, 60 miles follows some of the Wrynose route before detouring through the lovely Cartmel valley. The Silverdale Sling is a 37 mile sportive following the coast through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty around Morecambe Bay.

Kinross Cycling Club the organisers of Sportive Kinross are delighted to be staging the inaugural Kinross Cycling Club Family Cycle challenge in support of Scottish Cot Death Trust. This is a sponsored mini cyclo sportive for families of all ages fancying a day out in Kinross-shire. Here you will ride your bike in a stunning 'car free' setting around the heritage trail cycle path at Loch Leven, Kinross.

With the growth of Cycle Sportives and cycling in general, F3 Events have teamed up with Maxifuel to launch the second running of this great sportive that takes in the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. There is a 90km and 180k route to choose from. The rides are open to anyone looking for a good strong training ride as part of there winter training, which could be for one of the large European sportives, Half Ironman or Ironman distance triathlons. It is also Perfect for anyone just looking to set themselves a challenge of riding a certain distance to keep fit. It is geared!!! towards every type of rider with rolling hills, great decents and some easy flats.

08/04/2012 - The Hell of North Wales Roughstuff Sportive 2012

Rough stuff

A 100k or 50k ride though the lanes and tracks of North Wales. Starting and finishing at the new Marsh Tracks Road Circuit you will be grateful for the hot showers provided in the new club house. Starting with a gentle rollout from the Rhyl HQ you will soon start twisting and turning through the North Wales Countryside topping out at over 1500ft. With 15 named sectors, many of which are offroad and very steep you will be needing your winter bike without mudguards or a cyclocross bike. At around 25k the route splits giving the option of 50k or 100k.With feed stations at 25k and 75k you should be back in time to watch the finish of the real Hell of The North in the club house enjoying a beer and frites.

At Cycle Sport South Hams, we believe that our area has some of the most beautiful and challenging cycling in the Uk. The Hammer is a new, non-commercial event with 25% of all entry fees going to Diabetes Uk. It is the perfect way to start your year and gauge your early season fitness. The Hammer is a challenging cyclosportive through the quiet roads and country lanes of South Devon. We have designed a route of 130kms within the South Hams, that features the beauty of the South Devon coast line, sheltered river valleys and picturesque South Devon lanes. With over 2600m of climbing and only around 5km of flat road, the challenge of The Hammer is only matched by the spectacular scenery.

What better way to start British Summer time than a Sportive on some of the best cycling roads in the country. Whether you are training for the Fred Whitton or Etape du Dales this route has something to test even the hardiest sportives. With the scenery, the climbs, the descents, the cobbles and the grass in the middle of the roads you don’t need to go to Ardennes to experience the classics. Choose between 70 mile route with check point and feed stop in Ingleton and 40 mile route.

The HotChillee Sportive will have two routes, 115m (180km) and 66m (100km) taking in both the North and South Downs. The sportive kicks off from the bottom of the Olympic Road Race Hill 'Box Hill' in Dorking and will cover some of the best cycling terrain in the south east. ENTRIES AVAILABLE ON THE DAY.
