Cyclosport.org REVIEW: Evans King of the Downs
"The longest ride in the Evans Ride It calendar is billed as, "Harder, longer and hillier than the usual Ride It, the King of The Downs super sportive will test your road cycling strength and endurance to the max." It is considered as ideal preparation for anyone considering L'Etape or Marmotte, the epic French rides of the summer. Does it deliver?" writes Caven O'Hara for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: The Etape Caledonia
"It was a unique experience to be part of this amazing landscape for a day, albeit riding an exceptionally well engineered machine made up of the most advance materials known to man at this time. The Etape Caledonia, in support of the MacMillan Cancer charity is one of the UK's premier Cyclosportives and the ONLY closed road event on these Isles." writes Mark Tearle for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: Duncton Sunday Sportive
"A really nice ride through some of the prettiest parts of the South Downs, taking in some good climbs without being a constant assault on the legs. The organisation was slick with timing available immediately. It was a shame that some signs were removed on the route, a problem beyond the organiser's control." writes Super Sportiver James Berresford for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: The Fred Whitton Challenge
"There are so many things this ride gets so right. Fantastic signage with many junctions marshalled and the sparse traffic controlled. Even where there is traffic there is invariably someone hanging out of the car window cheering you on rather than the usual beeping and near misses. Feed stations, although few, are incredibly well stocked with sweet and savoury and run in such a friendly, helpful way." writes Super Sportiver James Berresford for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: Wiggle Ups and Downs Sportive
"With over 24 million gripped by the recent royal wedding this was another royal feast served up for the participants in the fourth event of the Wiggle Super Series. Temperatures in the low twenties, clear skies and a great route made this a must do sportive when selecting rides for 2011. Set within such close proximity to the riding mecca that is the North Downs this would be a ride that included some serious climbing and there was little to disappoint." writes Caven O'Hara for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: The Chilterns Big Dipper
"I find the Chilterns, a 76km stretch of Chalk escarpment that stretches across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, a rather intriguing place. I have been lucky enough to ride my bike around this area a few times now and each time it has been an absolute pleasure. The Chilterns Dipper, split up in to three courses; Big Dipper, Little Dipper and Mini Dipper. I'm not feeling too great right now so I opted for the shorter 100 kilometre Little Dipper." writes Mark Tearle for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: Wiggle New Forest Spring Sportive
"The New Forest is a beautiful place to cycle. While it remains, on the whole, unchallenging, it provides a fantastic backdrop to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bike. And when the sun is shining, that can't be bad either. The Wiggle Super Series (provided by UK Cycling Events) seem to know this as well. They run two events a year here, and for the New Forest Spring Sportive, they ran a road sportive on two consecutive days; testament to its popularity." writes Adam Tranter for Cyclosport.org
Cyclosport.org REVIEW: Pro VO2 Longest Day Sportive
"A great flowing ride that allowed you to maintain a high average despite the sometimes poorly surfaced roads. A good mix of A and B roads with a couple of testing climbs to sustain interest along with a couple of descents that ensured you kept concentration levels high. The weather was glorious, cool enough to ensure a good pace at the start but warming to the low 20's by the time I finished the shorter route." writes Caven O'Hara for Cyclosport.org
