Entries are now open for the sixth edition of the Mallorca312. The success of each edition - in 2014 there were more than 2,000 participants - and the high demand during the pre-registration period have led the organisers to increase the cap to 3,000 entrants for 2015.

The sportive will take place on the 25th April, 2015 and all those who want to tackle the challenge can now register for the event which sees riders complete 312 kilometers and 4,300 meters of climbing.

Like last year, registration will be unique both for the Mallorca312 and for its smaller companion - the 167 kilometer Mallorca167-Bycicle Holidays Max Hürzeler - in that riders won't have to decide which route they are going to ride until they reach the route split at kilometer 90.

The shorter route will turn back into the Serra de Tramuntana, whilst the full 312km route will circumnavigate the whole island.

The Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro offers all participants and companions special prices, and fantastic facilities to further enjoy both the event and their stay on the island.

The 2015 edition is expected to be historic. Last week, the event organisers revealed the new logo and website of the Mallorca312. There are still many surprises to be announced, not least who will be the cyclist to succeed Miguel Indurain as the owner of the coveted bib number '312' for next year.

Cyclosport's Nick Gregory headed to the island earlier this year to take part in the 2014 Mallorca 312. His review of the event can be found here.
