Having moved from its original spring date due to road works, the 10th Forest of Dean Classic sportive returns to its Monmouth town centre start on Sunday 13 July with a new sponsor - QM Sports Care. Two routes will be available on the day, the Classic 90 mile (145km) and newer 62 mile (100km) course, both of which offer a challenging ride through stunning scenery with plenty of hills.

Long established as one of the toughest one day sportives on the UK calendar, the original 90 miles (145km) route features over 8,000ft of climbing with 15 categorised climbs, the last of which is the  fearsome 25% grind of Symonds Yat less than 10 miles from the finish. Due to rider demand, there will once again be a shorter, but no less challenging, 62 miles (100km) course with nine categorised climbs including Symonds Yat. Both routes take in the best climbs and views of the Monmouthshire countryside as well as the Forest and are a great way of preparing for any big European sportives with plenty of climbing all day long on both courses.

Each route will be fully signed, have several feedstops with Clif Bar products as well as savouries,  Shimano mechanical support at the start/finish and on route, and a broom wagon should all else fail. Free tea and coffee will be available at the start and finish and all finishers will receive a free snack on their return as well as an event goody bag.

QM Sports Care will be at the event with their range of embrocation and will be offering all entrants exclusive savings on products, as well as the chance to win prizes throughout the day. For more details on the UK QM Sports Care product range please visit
