Science in Sport (SiS) has today announced its partnership with Sir Chris Hoy's HOY 100 Sportive, held Sunday 30th August 2015 in the stunning Pennines region.

The sportive will take riders over some of the toughest climbs in the area, including Malham Cove and the highest road in Yorkshire, Fleet Moss. Cyclists will cover 11,000ft of climbing on the long route, but there is a half route available for those who want to see the breath-taking views without travelling 100 miles.

Sports nutrition brand Science in Sport (SiS) has fuelled Sir Chris Hoy during his illustrious career as Britain's most successful Olympian. SiS will now fuel the event's participants with the very same products available to some of the world's top athletes, including SiS GO Electrolyte drink, SiS GO Isotonic Energy gel, the world's first isotonic energy gel and SiS REGO Rapid Recovery.

Sir Chris Hoy and Mark Cavendish, two of Britain's most successful cyclists in history, are Elite Consultants for the company; SiS also fuels Team WIGGINS.

The event will give the rare opportunity to ride with an Olympic champion. The HOY 100 is also supporting Sir Chris Hoy's charity of choice, SAMH, Scotland's leading mental health charity. £7 of every entry fee is donated to SAMH to help them continue the vital work they do.

Sir Chris Hoy said: "I'm thoroughly looking forward to riding my own sportive for the second year in the row and am delighted Science in Sport are fuelling the fellow riders in the event. For me, it's a great opportunity to ride on some amazing roads with likeminded cycling fans. It'll be a tough day out for all, so I'm also grateful of SiS' support at the feed stations!"

Stephen Moon, CEO of Science in Sport, commented: "We're really pleased to be able to support Sir Chris and his event. We're a brand trusted by some of British cycling's biggest names and it's great to fuel elite athletes like Sir Chris Hoy alongside our customers who need nutrition to support them on tough personal challenges like the HOY 100."
