Two new videos showcase scenery of White Horse Ridge Gravelcross

by Holly Blades

CX Sportive have released two new teaser videos for their upcoming White Horse Ridge Gravelcross event, showcasing sweeping scenery of the Ridgeway based ride routes.

One of a series of events, the White Horse Ridge is designed around three course distances from 30-75km, and pitched to an pacey open-hill adventure riding vibe, ideal for anything from modern cross and gravel bikes to the latest generation of 29 & 27.5in wheel MTBs (or even your classic hardtail!).

Unlike many other events in the series (which focus on a fast, varied and challenging mix of dirt and tarmac surfaces), the White Horse Ridge is mostly off road, taking advantage of one of the oldest stretches of gravel riding on the planet; the Oxfordshire Ridgeway.

The oldest continuously used trackway in Europe, the Ridgeway trail dates back at least 5,000 years, and peppered with fantastic views and ancient history. One of the standout landmarks on the ridge is the bronze age Uffington White Horse, which gives the event it's name, and features large on the long route of the ride. Check out the videos for a birds eye view of this stunning site!

The event starts and finishes in Chilton, just off the A34, and features full route marking, feed stations, rider timing and full catering at the finish. A medal to mark your achievement will round off your day and give your family something to admire on your triumphant return home.
