Long-established and well-respected sportive organisers, ITP Events have confirmed details for the 2016 editions of two of the most prestigious sportives in the Midlands: The Dare2B Rutland CiCLE Tour and the Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive.

The Dare2B Rutland CiCLE Tour

Join over 1000 riders on Saturday 23rd April 2016 at the Dare 2b Rutland CiCLE Tour. Choose from four routes on Rutland's original, biggest and best sportive, all starting at Giant Store Rutland on the picturesque south shore of Rutland Water.

There is something for riders of all levels of fitness and experience. The 57 mile route is ideal for those new to sportives and cycling generally, but still hard enough to provide a personal challenge. For completely new riders there is now a 21 mile option which is less hilly than the other routes.

The toughest challenges come from 104 mile the 78 mile and options, which features the most picturesque lanes and villages the area has to offer. Taking in not only Rutland but neighbouring Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, the long route has almost 5000 feet of climbing and includes views of Rutland Water, the Vale of Belvoir, Belvoir Castle, Eyebrook Reservoir and the impressive Harringworth Viaduct. All routes except the shortest have feedstations.

Sportive riders can make a weekend of it, as the next day sees the International CiCLE Classic take to the very same roads. Watch some of the top professional riders tackle the toughest roads in the area.

Entrants will be able to take advantage of several offers from event sponsors and supporters, Dare 2b and Giant Store Rutland, who will be running special offers and led rides in the run up to the event.

The Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive

On Saturday, 14 May 2016, sportive enthusiasts will be able to choose from four routes on this famous event, all starting and finishing in historic Lincoln.

There will be 103, 76, 58 and 32 miles options, all of which trace a route through quiet, picturesque lanes in the Lincolnshire Wolds. The route options mean all abilities are catered for, with the 103-mile route providing the toughest challenge, serving up over 4,200 feet of ascent.

The 58 mile route takes in less of the Wolds and is ideally suited to those setting out in the sportive world, whilst the 30 mile route is almost completely flat and perfectly suited to new cyclists. Again, all routes except the shortest have feedstations.
