Bristol-based TrueStart Coffee - the only coffee in the world designed specifically for sports performance - is the latest brand to join forces with the Great Weston Ride to encourage people to take on a personal challenge and experience the enjoyment that this popular West Country bike ride offers.

The Great Weston Ride, which is taking place on Sunday 17th July this year, starts in Bristol then heads off into Somerset's Mendip Hills and across the Somerset Levels before finishing on the seafront in Weston-super-Mare. TrueStart is keen to make the event a major part of its efforts to encourage people to get out and achieve their own personal goals.

Helena Hills, Co-Founder of TrueStart, commented: "We're really excited to be working with the Great Weston Ride - as soon as we heard about this great event we wanted to get involved and lend our support."

"We share a common aim of motivating and inspiring people from all walks of life to take on a challenge, and importantly, to have fun while they're doing it. With TrueStart Coffee along for the ride this year everyone should be able to fuel their ambition, whatever that may be."

TrueStart is 100% natural Colombian Arabica coffee, and what makes it so special is its carefully-regulated caffeine content that's specifically designed to aid performance and recovery. It's the only coffee on the market that guarantees optimum caffeine content equivalent to a sports gel - but with no chemicals or sugar added - and it's perfect for endurance activities.

Darren McKimm, the Great Weston Ride organiser, said: "We're delighted that TrueStart is supporting the Great Weston Ride, becoming our latest major Event Partner."

"As many people already know, the GWR's spectacular route presents a significant challenge, and with TrueStart we're introducing riders to another great natural product that can help them to get the most they can out of the ride and achieve their goals."

"It's also great to welcome another emerging West Country brand, and we're really looking forward to working with Helena and her team to enhance and add even more value to the Great Weston Ride as the partnership develops."

The Great Weston Ride is now in its seventh year. The event attracts cyclists of all abilities, including a significant number of novice riders every year, and a growing number of people are travelling from further afield each year to take on this delightful West Country challenge.

The Ride also has a major fundraising aspect and to date riders have raised over £200,000 for charitable causes, with the lion's share of this going to support the Ride's official charity partner: Prostate Cancer UK.

The event has sold out in advance every year to date and 2016 looks like it will be no exception.
