Deadline Extended for Inaugural Guide Dogs Tour of Berkshire

by Nick Gregory

Due to popular demand, entry for the inaugural Guide Dogs Tour of Berkshire Sportive has been extended until midnight on Tuesday 25th March.

The event takes place on 6th April 2014, from the Guide Dogs headquarters near Reading in Berkshire, and organisers Dengie Events have already seen an overwhelmingly positive response to this brand new sportive.

The event is suitable for both regular sportive riders and beginners alike. There are a variety of distance options to suit all abilities, with a 41.5km Fun Ride running alongside 84km Classic, and 125km Epic route options, with the latter being aimed at cyclists looking for a tough early-season challenge.

The route takes participants through the beautiful Berkshire countryside, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Here riders pass through the traditional villages of West Berkshire, negotiate a series of short punchy climbs and experience the stunning scenery and quiet country lanes of the Royal County.

Entry includes chip timing, fully signed routes, aid stations, mechanic, on course support, sag wagon and refreshments on site.
