London-Paris 2011: Unique Opportunity to Ride Stage 1

In a unique opportunity for keen sportivers, for one day only the organisers of London-Paris 2011 have a few limited places available for riders who wish to ride Stage 1 only (London to Dover).

These places are available for different abilities, in Groups 1, 2 & 5. Group 1 have an average speed of 33km/h and riders must hold BC / UCI / local race license or take out temporary license on the day. Group 2 have an average speed of 29-30km/h and Group 5 average around 25km/h. 

Taking place on Thursday 23rd June 2011 (That's next week!) over 172km between London and Dover, you can see the map/profile:

The London-Paris is the unique 3 day "Tour de France" style endurance event for amateur and cyclosportive riders. It is the "professional event for amateurs". Like a pro event it has full support, rolling road closures and covers 550 km in three days followed by a rest day in Paris. This PRO/AM event has seen stars such as double Olympic Gold James Cracknell, TdF, Giro and World Cup winner Stephen Roche, Sean Kelly Johan Museeuw and Brian Smith take part.
