Local support is lining up behind the Reigate Rouleur on July 13th. The popular 600 rider event sold out in 2013 and is expected to do so again this year.

Organisers Southern Sportive have history of working with local independent bike shops, and two Surrey shops, Reigate store Maison du Velo and Ash Vale based Geared Up Cycles, have confirmed that they will be at the event with trade stands, as well as offering mechanical support out on the course. Rolling Dynamics have also said that they will be offering Wattbike try out sessions on site - a great opportunity to warm up and cool down and test your fitness on the most advanced fitness machine, under expert guidance. And to help you keep those muscles in peak condition on the day, FS Physiotherapy will be there too, offering 15 min massage and physio sessions from just £5.

The Reigate Rouleur starts from Reigate College, flowing from the North Downs out towards Kent Weald around Sevenoaks and Hever Castle. It gives riders a nicely paced and balanced route, easing you into the day with it's early miles providing a perfect leg stretcher before delivering a deceptively hilly mid-section that sets the biggest of the day's challenges. From there, it's a long and fast run to the finish back through the heart of some truly stunning countryside. It all adds up to a great summer ride!

The event this year takes place the weekend after the Tour de France visits our shores, once the pros have returned to the continent, so late demand is expected to be high for an already very popular event. Places are strictly limited to 600 and are expected to go fast, so don't miss out.
