Come and Ride with Phil Liggett on the 5th Hertfordshire 100

by Holly Blades

With Chris Froome back in action in The Vuelta a Espana this week, there's no better time to get that itching motivation into full swing by signing up to the Helping Rhinos Hertfordshire 100.

The Hertfordshire 100 has three routes to choose from and there's something for everyone. With a testing 100 miler that climbs over 5500ft, you'll a taste of the Spanish mountains. If you fancy something a little less strenuous then the 64 miler is a perfect middle distance ride for this time in the season, with roughly 3500ft of climbing.

For those who fancy an easy day out, theres always the 32 miler to keep your legs moving, and with climbing of over 1500ft, it may still offer a few challenges.

This is the Fifth year for this popular sportive and the event that really started it all for SportiveUK who commented "We've branched out a lot since then, but this ride will always be special to us. This year we've done a lot of work tweaking the route. This ride reflects that and it's 5th birthday should make for the most enjoyable Hertfordshire 100 yet."

Phil Liggett will also be setting riders off, as well as riding himself. He'll be there, supporting the Helping Rhinos charity and trying to persuade you to buy one of their fantastic jerseys. There'll also be raffles and others ways to help support this fantastic charity on the day.

There will be a music, savoury food truck, sports massage at the finish line so it'll be a great opportunity to have a drink and a chat with Phil on all things cycling, we are sure he'll share a few stories from all those years he has dedicated to the commentary of the Tour de France!

Starts/Finshes at Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire.
