Hate Hills? Go Flatout in the Fens with KILOTOGO

The seventh edition of KILOTOGO's Flatout in the Fens will take place on 28 June 2015, and it's perfect for anyone who is not so keen on climbing. The event turns its back on your typical sportive by not including any hill climbs and includes the original 150+ mile route.

The event is based in some of the UK's flattest countryside across the counties of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk. There's not a signal significant climb anywhere on the route, but plenty of superlatives. Riders will pass the lowest point of altitude in the land, at 4 meters below sea level, courtesy of some very impressive Dutch dyke-style engineering.

For 2015, there are new routes of 112 and 60 miles, with additional feed stations on the 155 and 112 mile routes. The HQ will be at Peterborough Regional College, and the event includes a fully signed route, electronic chip timing, new and improved feed stations as well as mechanical and medical support should you require it.

Upon completion riders will receive a medal, free High5 Race Pack and bottle, personalised finish line video and a post-ride massage (for a small charity donation). There will also be event photographers around the route capturing your ride.

Unlike most sportives, tri-bars are allowed which proves particularly popular with those tackling the Ironman 112 mile route option. However, KILOTOGO do ask that you don't ride in a group if you are using them.

Another of KILOTOGO's flatter events is the Essex Explorer, taking place on 31 May, but you'll have to sign up fast if you want to take part in that one as entries close this Sunday, 24 May.
