Threshold Sports are excited to open entries for the 2015 Deloitte Ride Across Britain over a year in advance of the challenge. Taking place between 5-13 September 2015, the iconic event travels through some of the most picturesque and challenging landscapes on 9 day, 969 mile tour. The sixth edition of the event continues with the more traditional direction of South to North.

During the epic journey from one end of the UK to the other, 1,000 riders will pedal their way through Britain's most stunning landscapes inclduing: Coastal Cornwall between Land's End and Helston, Bodmin and Dartmoor National Parks, the Mendips and Cheddar Gorge, the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, the Forest Of Dean, The Lake District, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Loch Ness and the wild North Coast of Scotland.

Being one of the longest events in the calendar, Deloitte Ride Across Britain pushes riders to live the Threshold Sports mantra of 'More Is In You', as they ride over 100 miles a day for 9 consecutive days. However, the riders are given the full pro-team experience. A crew of 160 takes care of every detail to ensure riders don't need to worry about a thing apart from enjoying the views and covering the distance each day.

The event includes fully signed route and expert chaperones; mechanical and medical support throughout each stage and at the overnight stops; mobile camps each night with accommodation in single tents with inflatable mattresses, power showers and proper toilets; top quality and plentiful food each day and massages, bars, celebrity riders and much more.

Before the Ride entrants will be fully support with a tailored training programme, online training tools that track your progress, access to a rider forum to meet other riders and share tips and experiences, benefit from exclusive training days and receive special offers on equipment, kit and maintenance costs.

Lewis Moody, ex-England and Lions Rugby star and 2013 participant said: "I have taken part in many grueling forms of exercise but Deloitte Ride Across Britain was up there as one of the toughest. Reaching the finish line together with many new friends helped to make it one of the most enjoyable team experiences I have had outside of rugby."

Nick Tuppen, head of Threshold Events said: "Each year the event has gone from strength to strength as the word spreads about the unique Deloitte Ride Across Britain experience. Paralympians pedal alongside people who are taking on their first endurance challenge, but they are unified by the same goal: to take on the most iconic challenge in UK cycling."

Deloitte has supported the Ride since its inception in 2010, and has so far raised more than £1.3 million for the British Paralympic Association, a huge amount which has contributed to the success of ParalympicsGB at both London 2012 and Sochi 2014. Deloitte is aiming to raise the next £1 million to help the ParalympicsGB team maintain momentum, and inspire thousands more to take up disability sport with the support of Deloitte Parasport.

David Sproul, chief executive and senior partner at Deloitte UK, said: "Having previously taken part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain I'm very aware of how hugely challenging and rewarding it is. It takes an incredible amount of training and determination to complete the demanding nine-day ride. We're very proud of the 800 riders that take part in the race each year, and look forward to welcoming a new group as we embark on the sixth year of the event."

Tim Reddish OBE, Chairman of the BPA and 3-time Deloitte RAB rider said: "I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has raised money for the British Paralympic Association through taking on this epic challenge. The support we receive will help us take the next generation of ParalympicsGB to Rio 2016 and Pyeongchang 2018 and hopefully inspire even more disabled and non-disabled people alike."

In 2013 93% of riders said the Ride was in the top three experiences of their lives, and Threshold are looking forward to signing up another 1,000 brave riders to experience it in 2015.
