The hugely popular Chiltern 100 sportive takes place on Sunday 31 May and looks set to reach capacity again after selling out in 2014. Entries to the event based at Bovingdon Airfield must close on Bank Holiday Monday (25 May) at 9.00 PM.

Thousands have already signed up to cycle 76 or 110 miles through beautiful countryside at the Chiltern 100, but a limited number of places still remain.

The Chiltern 100 joined the Human Race Events Sportive Series in 2014 after previous organisers, Verulam Cycling Club decided to team up with the mass participation events company. Human Race makes an annual donation to the club that is used to significantly boost grassroots cycling in the local area.

It has been dubbed by riders as 'The toughest sportive close to the capital' with the Gran Fondo route featuring a gut wrenching 21 climbs over 110 miles. Riders will be asked to complete an audacious 2,700 metres of climbing through beautiful countryside with spectacular views.

The Medio Fondo is approximately a 76 mile route, which follows much of the Gran Fondo before a split allows riders to take a more direct route home. The start and finish at Bovingdon Airfield will also house an event village created to host the 2,500 riders.

Final places are available now via before the closing date of Monday 25 May.
