The Saddleback Sodbury Sportive is must do Sportive for all levels of cyclists, held on Sunday 18th August 2013. The Sportive is a Rotary Club fundraising event with all profits being given to charity, enjoying the wonderful Cotswold countryside, quiet lanes and beautiful views.

Entries are now open for the 2013 Saddleback Sodbury Sportive and are limited to 750 riders. It is expected that places will sell out again prior to the event, so please enter as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Register your place today online (click here). Starting from Chipping Sodbury Rugby Club, only a stones throw from the beautiful market town high street, a lovely place to visit and shop. The event HQ boasts ample free parking, tea and coffee at the start finish, free Hot food at the finish included in entry, changing rooms and hot showers.

A choice of 3 distances (100 miles, 60 miles or 30 miles) will take riders along well signed and marshalled routes. The 100-mile route has been revamped for 2013, splitting from the 60-mile route at around 13.5 miles before re-joining at the summit of the infamous Frocester Hill at around 60 miles. All the routes have a good mixture of testing climbs, flowing descents and long flat sections.  This combined with a great atmosphere will provide an enjoyable ride whatever your ability.  The event provides chip timing, with mechanical assistance from local cycle shop Blast Bikes at the start and along the route.

Feed Stations along the route promise to refresh riders with a generous selection of quality food. Combining the essentials with some homemade treats for those with a little more time to spare. Returning to Chipping Sodbury there will be free hot food, massages from the experts at the Toll House Clinic and time to relax.

Onsite camping is available and can be pre-booked by contacting the Saddleback Sodbury Sportive.

Organised by the members and friends of the Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury, the aim is to provide a Sportive experience that is equal to the best Sportives in the UK, while all profits from the event will be given to charity.

A huge thanks to all the riders and helpers from 2012 which raised over £6k. Please support the Saddleback Sodbury Sportive in 2013, we'll provide you with the best event possible and you'll help us raise even more money for charity.
