'Multum in Parvo' - Rutland's motto meaning 'Much in Little' - is the perfect way to describe this year's KILOTOGO Rut Sportive, taking place on Saturday 24 October 2015 in Britain's smallest county.

The Welland (Harringworth) Viaduct will be one of many highlights on this year's route, allowing riders to marvel at each of the 82 arches along its 1.1km length. For 2015 the event has moved to picturesque setting of Elton Hall, just to the south west of Peterborough, with plenty of on-site parking.

There are 3 new routes to choose from across undulating terrain of long, gradual climbs, including that out of Harringworth as well as a different climb back into Harringworth on your return. All routes also take on the Launde Abbey climb this year too.

The long route weighs in at 109 miles with nearly 5,000ft of climbing including the additional ascents of Wing and Cold Overton. The medium route is 75 miles and serves up a more manageable 3,700ft of climbing, whilst the short route is a far more relaxed affair at 56 miles and 2,500ft of ascent.

KILOTOGO are pleased to announce that for The Rut (their closing event of the 2015 season) and for their entire 2016 series, they have teamed up with Bikmo Plus - an easy and simple cycle insurance, developed by cyclists.

David George, CEO at Bikmo, said: "The partnership with Simon at KTG is a great development for us, especially being based in Chester and having ridden the Cheshire Cat a number of times! We're looking forward to seeing all the riders at The Rut and at KTG's 2016 events."

Prior to The Rut, as with all KILOTOGO events, riders will receive rider packs with their timing chip in the post so that all they need to do is turn up at the start line and ride - no registration delays or queues.

With feed stations roughly every 25 miles providing a selection of cakes, sandwiches and ever-popular pork pies, as well as HIGH5 Sports Nutrition gels, bars and sports drink, KILOTOGO ensure riders remind well-fuelled throughout the day.

All participants are videoed crossing the finish line, and ride times are sent to their mobile phone. The physio team will be on hand too, for anyone who fancies a post-ride massage. All riders also receive a cotton T-shirt, finisher's medal and goody bag.

Cyclosport's Sean Lacey rode the event last year and had the following to say in his review: "KILOTOGO operate to a tried and tested formula, and this one was no different - they are run to a high standard and there is nothing that stands out as being out of place or missing. Lovely county to ride around!
